08/09/11 DON'T DRIFT

08/09/11 DON'T DRIFT

My observation through the years has been consistent with the word of God, concerning the danger of neglecting or rejecting a close relationship with the local body of Christ. Drifting from a deep commitment to your local body will result in drifting from Jesus. Nothing good comes from withdrawing from a vital fellowship.

If a church is worthless, get out, if it is vital, get in and get serious.

Hebrews 10:24-25
(24) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
(25) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

CONSIDER ALSO...
People will choose to live somewhere because of a better income, a better job, a more enjoyable climate, an easier lifestyle, cultural advantage or diversity, recreational opportunities, image, education.

While there is nothing wrong with wanting to improve our standard of living by choosing a certain location, the most important factor is our spiritual well being and the well being of our families.

I have watched in amazement as people slipped quietly away from their spiritual moorings and relationships, eventually becoming enemies of the people who lovingly and sacrificially led them to Christ and equipped them to serve Christ.
