A few people heeded the cry of the local "Dooms-sayer" and took the foreboding, "Trail of Trials" heading for, "The Land of Mystery."
Some, who lagged behind, wanted to go, regretting they had not started earlier, but still, they lingered, hoping to escape before it is too late.
Still the Crier called, "Do not hesitate."
