01/19/11 From AM Worship

The universe was created for the well being of the earth, not the other way around. All of our space probes have failed to find another world or another place that can sustain life. Yet, the earth is a spinning blue marble, a gigantic drop of water, teeming with myriad forms of life. God not only made us unique, He created the universe to sustain our existence.

AM WORSHIP... GOD IS KING OF CREATION:
He created...
the universe;
the angelic realm;
the world;
Adam/Eve;
the family of mankind; a national conduit, through which He would send His Son and
He created the Church, the family of faith.
He will rule over an earthly kingdom.
He creates New Heaven/Earth/Jerusalem and reigns forever.
The One with power to create, has right to rule.

GOD IS KING OF CREATION
God is not only Supreme Sovereign, He is King of Creation.

The power and authority of God to create presumes His right to rule His creation. The concept of "intellectual property" alludes to this. Not only was God capable of creating the universe, He is the Only One Who could have created the universe. No one else existed until God created them, whether angels or humans. God retained Ownership over His creation and even when He placed others in charge.

GOD CREATED THE ANGELS AND THE UNIVERSE
Genesis 1:1-2

(1) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
(2) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

There are reasons to believe that verses 1 and 2 might be addressing two distinct creative acts of God.
1- God did not create the world to be chaotic, empty (Is. 45:18), yet, verse two says it was.
2- In the six days of creation there is no mention of the creation of Lucifer and the angels or the fall of Lucifer and 1/3 of the angels. Then, without fan fare or explanation, Satan appeared in the garden and tempted Eve. Since God declared His six days of creation to be “very good,” Satan must have been created at another time.
3- The concept of CREATION (bringing something from nothing) is only mentioned three times in this chapter; a- God created the heavens and the earth, b- animal life and c- human life. The other events that took place during the six days of creation were more acts of God MAKING things from something that already existed, or setting the world in order.

The Bible is the record of God dealing with mankind, not a record of angels and demons or the creation of the universe. However, since angels and demons are part of the human story, we are given a glimpse into the fall of Lucifer to the status of Satan (Is. 14:12-14) and a brief mention of the creation of the universe (Ge. 1:1).

"In the beginning" was before anything and everything except God. It was before the creation of the angelic order or the war between God and Lucifer, which resulted in Satan being cast down from the presence of God and the earth being thrown into chaos.

God created the angels and appointed Lucifer to be the prince of angels. God always reigns as King but He gives positions of authority to His chosen vessels. All of creation is built on the design of order and hierarchy. In this case, Lucifer was the prince of the angels. In fact, the name Lucifer means Light Bearer. When Lucifer rebelled against God he lost his first estate and was cast out of the presence of God. This is when he became the adversary or enemy of God, as seen in the name, “Satan.” Satan was cast down to a pre-Adamic world and left in darkness and confusion until verse two. The “light bearer” became “the prince of darkness.”We do not know how long this lasted until God took the chaos and formed it into the world Adam occupied.

GOD CREATED THE WORLD AND MANKIND
God had created the universe and all the starry heavens to serve His purposes in supporting the world, the earth. Everything in nature has an influence on the earth. Though man has not found anything in the universe that compares with the earth, we know that the placement of the far reaching stars and galaxies effect the existence and well being of the earth.

There may be other worlds, civilizations in the universe, but all of our space probes have failed to find anything. This spinning, blue, watery marble is unique and actually the reason for the rest of the universe as we know it. Everything serves our world. Though astronomical relations are reciprocal, our world was not created for the prosperity of other worlds or galaxies.

God created Adam in His Own likeness, including derived righteousness, immortality and self determination. God had a loving relationship with Adam and Eve. God gave Adam the ability to TAKE dominion of the earth, but Adam rebelled against God and lost his right to reign. In fact, Adam lost his position of dominion to the Prince of Darkness, who was previously deposed from his position of authority in the angelic realm.

GOD CREATED THE CHURCH
God did not abandon rebellious mankind. He had always planned to implement a rescue mission, by sending His Son, to die, to rise and to raise up a faithful following that would recognize Him as King of Creation.

God not only created the universe, the angelic order, the earth and Adam. He not only formed the nation of Israel and kingdom of Judah, He also changes people into NEW CREATIONS, OLD THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY, ALL THINGS BECOME NEW (2 Co. 5:17). He establishes His kingdom in the hearts and lives of His people (Lk. 17:21). The kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, peace and joy (Ro. 14:17).

This spiritual kingdom of God will give way to an earthly kingdom, where Christ will reign for 1000 years. Even then there will be rebellion, resulting in failed human endeavor. However, God will reign supreme when He creates a NEW HEAVEN, NEW EARTH AND NEW JERUSALEM.

Revelation 21:1-8
(1) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
(2) And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
(3) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
(4) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
(5) And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
(6) And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
(7) He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
(8) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Kingdoms can only exist as they are subject to the King of Creation.
