08/01/11 NO CALLS

08/01/11 NO CALLS

If it was not for ACCIDENTAL communications, some interaction would not exist.

We live in a day when calls are placed by accident.

Sometimes, when the "caller" realizes he has broken into someone's life (either friend or stranger), he still doesn't take the time to say, "Hi."

The silence or, "Ooops" mocks the disappointed person who was excited to hear from that special person.

We have the greatest communications instruments in the history of man, yet days, weeks, months, years and even a lifetime goes by without hearing from loved ones and friends.

People constantly talk, text, exchange videos and photos with everyone except the one who longs to hear from them.

Foolishness flies back and forth between people, while lonely loved ones long to hear the voice of a distant (or nearby) family member.

I personally have received "pocket calls" on special occasions. I hear my phone and look to see who it is. I become excited to see a relative, with whom I use to be VERY close. I smile as I start to answer, only to hear the phone go dead or hear the loved one say, "ooops, that was an accident."

It can happen at any age to any one. However, when it happens in the closing years of a person's life, it is especially hurtful. Especially when it is evident that the other person is constantly on their devices texting, talking, videoing, chatting..
