08/17/11 GOOD AND PLEASANT

08/17/11 GOOD AND PLEASANT

I'm thankful for time with my grandchildren. When they are young they're unbelievably loving and responsive to us and one another. What a great loss when "growing up" results in abandoning love, affection and family unity. I hope my little buddies never move away from the beauty of family unity.

Psalms 133:1
(1) ... how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Notice, it is both GOOD and PLEASANT. Why would anyone trade the good and the pleasant for a failed relationship?
To enjoy a good and pleasant relationship is beyond human language to express.
To lose a good and pleasant relationship brings grief beyond human language.
Broken human relationships are miniature examples of the broken relationship between God and His people.
