If you want to attain to greater heights in life, in marriage, in ministry, you must have a firm foundation or it will collapse because it is top heavy. A firm foundation is attained by going deep. Strong materials built on sand will wash away. Tall buildings depend on deep anchors. Building/maintaining this foundation & life is a daily endeavor.

Luke 6:48-49
(48) He is like a man which built a house, and dug deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
(49) But he that hears, and does not, is like a man that without a foundation built a house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
Ephesians 2:20-21
(20) And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
(21) In whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto a holy temple in the Lord:
1 Timothy 6:18-19
(18) That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
(19) Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
