02/23/11 IF... THEN... YES
Consider:

IF there is a God and
IF there is life after death and
IF there is a way to avoid eternal suffering and
IF God has revealed His salvation to us and
IF it is found in a book,
THEN shouldn't we want to know which book it is and understand what it says?
Yet, very few people know anything about...
the Bible, (the only reasonable revelation of God),
or
Jesus and His salvation (the only escape from hell).
THERE IS A GOD
John 1:18
(18) No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Hebrews 11:6
(6) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
THERE IS LIFE AFTER DEATH
John 5:24-29
(24) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
(25) Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
(26) For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
(27) And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
(28) Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
(29) And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
GOD HAS REVEALED HIS SALVATION
John 14:6
(6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Mark 12:24
(24) And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the Scriptures, neither the power of God?
Acts 4:12
(12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
THERE IS A BOOK
2 Timothy 3:15-17
(15) And that from a child thou hast known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
(16) All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
(17) That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
