10/17/11 I CANNOT OVEREMPHASIZE... TEAMWORK.

10/17/11 I CANNOT OVEREMPHASIZE... TEAMWORK.

Recently there were a couple of stories in the news about people being pinned beneath wrecked vehicles (some vehicles were on fire). Several people (risking their own lives) joined together and lifted the weight of the vehicle, allowing the victims to be rescued.

When believers are willing to risk their own comfort and safety, by helping others, we will rescue more people from peril.

CONSIDER...
It did not take the strongest person in town, but it did take teamwork. In fact, the strongest person, by himself might not have been any help to the victim.

The rescuers focused on the need of the victim, not their own glory.

The rescuers did not have time to take a course in rescuing or "car lifting" or teamwork. They needed to give themselves to one another in accomplishing the task.

The rescuers did not have to know the victim, like the victim, agree with the views of the victim.

The rescuers were not caught up in a pity party, because of their own "tragic" lives.

The rescuers did not have "more pressing" things in their lives at that moment.

The rescuers did not choose to be in that situation, but they chose to act in that situation.
