11/16/11 DISCARDED DEBRIS

11/16/11 DISCARDED DEBRIS

I stood, admiring a newly constructed building. While standing there I saw the broken pieces of lumber, half bricks, split blocks, scraps of metal, soiled carpet fragments, discarded bundles of ruined insulation, tangled lengths of stripped wiring and other useless or abandoned building materials. Regardless of the potential in the wasted debris, they would never be part of a magnificent edifice.

How sad to not become what you were designed to become. So many people end up on the trash heap of life because they don't trust Christ with their lives and they do not surrender to His design and His transforming power.

Just because you are on the construction site (the church property or the church roll) does not mean that you are going to be part of His glorious Church. By faith, find where God wants to fit you into His plan, and do it soon.

(7) Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
(8) And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
(9) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
